Overview
Briefly ("the App") is developed and operated by Modex Apps, based in Albania. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
By using Briefly, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Data We Collect
Briefly is designed to respect your privacy. We collect minimal data:
- Reading progress & bookmarks — Stored locally on your device using iOS storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- No account required — You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use Briefly.
- No personal data transmitted to our servers — We do not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifiable information.
- Purchase data (RevenueCat) — If you make an in-app purchase, our payment processor RevenueCat receives anonymised purchase receipts from Apple. We receive only subscription status (active/expired) — we never see your payment card details, Apple ID, or billing information. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Crash & diagnostic data — Apple may collect anonymised crash reports if you have opted into sharing diagnostics with developers in iOS Settings. We do not use any third-party crash reporting SDK.
How We Use Data
The limited data we process is used solely to:
- Deliver reading progress and bookmarks within the App on your device.
- Verify your premium subscription status via RevenueCat so we can unlock content you have paid for.
- Improve App stability via Apple's anonymised diagnostic reports (when you have opted in).
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
In-App Purchases
Briefly offers optional in-app purchases (a subscription and/or a one-time lifetime purchase) to unlock the full book library.
- All transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never handle your payment card or billing information directly.
- RevenueCat acts as our subscription management layer. It receives anonymised purchase receipts from Apple to verify your subscription status.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in App Store Settings → Subscriptions.
Children's Privacy
Briefly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data Retention & Deletion
Since your reading data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. RevenueCat retains anonymised purchase records per its own retention policy; contact RevenueCat directly for deletion requests related to purchase data.

Briefly integrates the following third-party service:

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
